A 33-year-old patient allegedly watched the popular TV reality show Bigg Boss and the Hollywood movie Avatar while doctors perform a brain operation.

He seemingly had to be kept awake throughout the operation, and hence he was forced to watch Bigg Boss and the 2009 Hollywood blockbuster movie Avatar. The surgery, conducted by three medical professionals, allegedly aimed to get rid of recurrent glioma from his left premotor area abutting the deadly cortex. The patient went through a similar operation in 2016, which was ineffective. But, things went well this time around.
Dr. BH Srinivas Reddy, Dr. Seshadri Sekhar (neurosurgeons), and Dr. Trinadh (Anaesthetist) of Guntur’s Government General Hospital did the operation on Vara Prasad, who had been discharged from the hospital on Saturday following retrieval.
